Students stay on site during lunchtime, and choose from the varied menu offered by the school canteen or may bring in a packed lunch if they prefer. We serve breakfast from 8.00 am every morning and there is also hot food available during the morning break.  

Eastern High uses a biometric payment system for the purchase of meals and drinks.  Students' payment accounts can be topped up using the online ParentPay system. .  

On admission, you will be asked to provide consent for capturing biometric information and be provided with your Parentpay account details.

Please be aware that from 28th April 2025, the price of school meals for pupils will increase from £3.40, to £3.55. We are currently awaiting confirmation from Cardiff Council that the Free School Meal allowance will also change to reflect this. We will update our website as soon as we have further information.
