Empathy Day Festival 2025

Empathy Festival at Eastern

From Monday, 2nd June, we have proudly been taking part in the Empathy Festival, an initiative aimed at fostering a deeper understanding of empathy amongst young people. Throughout the festival, students have gained the opportunity to explore the meaning and importance of empathy, as well as how to incorporate this vital skill into their everyday lives.

Each lunchtime, we have been fortunate to be able to share inspiring talks from authors and festival organisers, which provided valuable insights and encouraged thoughtful reflection. In addition, pupils have engaged with a range of empathy-themed stories, made personal empathy pledges, and created expressive artwork and drawings to illustrate what empathy means to them. The event culminates in Empathy Day on June 12th, and we are really proud of some of the fantastic creations from our pupils so far.
