Eastern High provides highly effective teaching underpinned by positive relationships. We show resilience, respect and create a sense of belonging so that all in our community are able to Flourish in Life . As a campus we support our community members to access a range of education and learning. We deliver high quality teaching to meet the needs of all learners, supported by inclusive pastoral care, strong staff development and professionalism.

Our ethos revolves around:
- Being ready, respectful and safe.
- A sense of belonging for our pupils. We believe when pupils feel they truly belong at school, it creates a foundation for thriving both socially and academically.
- We accept that young people are still developing, physically, mentally and emotionally.
- As educators, it is our responsibility to address the developmental needs of the whole child.
- In the 21st Century a teacher’s expertise increasingly lies in their understanding of how young people learn rather than simply their subject knowledge.
